Masters Degree Programs in the United Kingdom (UK)

Home to one of the world's most famous higher education systems, the UK is one of the most popular destinations for postgraduate study. Over 450,000 international students study in the UK, many of them on Masters degree programmes.

As a Masters student in the UK you'll have the chance to study at ancient medieval universities dating back to the twelfth century, or at the more modern institutions that have become equally renowned in international rankings. You'll be able to live in historic university cities such as Oxford and Cambridge and explore famous national capitals such as London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast. The UK as a whole is a friendly, multi-cultural society with proud sporting and musical traditions and a vibrant and varied international cuisine, (if you've heard the stereotypes about British food, you may be pleasantly surprised!).

A Masters in the UK typically takes one year of full-time study to complete and the academic year usually runs between September and May (though admissions dates at individual universities may vary). Programmes are taught in English and are available in a huge range of subject areas. Students from the EU and EEA are entitled to study a Masters in the UK without a visa and will usually be subject to the same fees as domestic students.
