Masters in Sweden

As the country that instituted the Nobel Prize and the home of innovative business models and technologies such as Spotify, Skype and Ikea, Sweden has a lot to offer the next generation of researchers and thinkers. In fact, over 28,500 international students already study at Swedish universities, on programmes at all levels.

As a Masters student in Sweden you'll be able to study at universities with a history stretching back to the fifteenth century, renowned for their research in a range of fields including natural sciences, engineering, medicine and technology. You'll also be part of a liberal and diverse student cohort (over 60% of Swedish students are women and 10% of enrolments at Swiss universities are foreign students). Whilst you study for your Masters in Sweden you'll live in one of the most beautiful parts of northern Europe, offering excellent opportunities to visit other parts of Scandinavia or to travel south and explore countries such as Denmark, Germany and Poland, across the Baltic sea.

A Masters in Sweden may last for either one or two years, depending on the course type. The academic year is subject to institutional flexibility, but usually runs between August and the following June. A large number of Swedish Masters programmes are offered in English and EU / EEA citizens are usually entitled to study in Sweden without a visa.
