Nearly 58,000 students currently study abroad in the Netherlands, many of them on programmes specifically designed to meet the needs and objectives of international scholarship.

As a Masters student in the Netherlands you'll study within a prestigious European university system with a long history of welcoming travelling scholars. The oldest Dutch universities were founded in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and one of the most famous Dutch scholars ' Desiderius Erasmus ' was a renowned international scholar, whose name was appropriately chosen for the modern Erasmus exchange programme. As you complete your Dutch Masters degree you'll live in one of Europe's most liberal and tolerant countries, with access to famous international tourist cities like Amsterdam and the range of heritage sites and entertainment venues that have made them so popular.

A Masters in the Netherlands will take between one and two years, depending on course type and subject area. The academic year usually runs between September and June.
