Masters in Italy

With a cultural and intellectual tradition stretching back to the classical era and the world's oldest surviving university, Italy takes some beating as a destination for postgraduate study abroad. It's no surprise then that over 77,000 international students already study at Italian universities

As a Masters student in Italy you'll study in a university system that combines a proud heritage with modern innovation. Italy's oldest university ' The University of Bologna ' isn't just the oldest in the world: it was also the venue at which the current common framework for higher education across the European area was conceived and agreed ' an event known as 'the Bologna Declaration'. So, wherever you study in Italy, you'll come away with internationally recognised qualifications reflecting a long tradition of academic expertise. You'll also have had a truly unique study abroad experience: with the chance to see some of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe and explore some of the most famous cities and sites in human history.

A Masters in Italy usually takes two years, with the Italian academic year running from September or October until July. Programmes are delivered in various languages, including English, and EU / EEA students will not usually require a study visa.
