Masters in Germany

The German university system has long been one of the most successful and popular in Europe and, as of 2014, it's also one of the most affordable. Recent changes to German higher education policy mean that tuition at public universities is now free for all students, regardless of nationality. So, now could be an excellent time to join the 200,000 international students already studying in Germany.

As a Masters student in Germany you'll have access to range of institutions offering postgraduate courses in both academic and professional subject areas. All combine innovative modern programmes with the intellectual prestige of a higher education system stretching back to the fourteenth-century and associated with some of the most important thinkers in European science, and philosophy. You'll also be able to explore beautiful historic cities and famous landscapes such as the Black Forest and Rhine Valley that have attracted tourists for hundreds of years.

A Masters in Germany normally runs for two years, with the academic year lasting from the beginning of October to the end of the following September. Courses may be delivered in various languages as well as German, with an increasing number of programmes now offered in English. EU and EEA students will not usually require a visa to study in Germany and will be eligible for free tuition.
