Masters in Denmark

Denmark has lots to offer international postgraduate students, including excellent European universities, a vibrant culture and history and the prospect of free tuition for EU and EEA students. It's no surprise, then, that over 22,000 foreign students already study in Denmark.

As a Masters student in Denmark you'll have plenty to do in your free-time. Outdoor pursuits include windsurfing and hiking whilst Danish heritage sites range from the remains of Viking settlements to the famous Kronborg Castle ' renowned for its depiction as Elsinore Castle in Shakespeare's Hamlet. Denmark is also famous for its cuisine (specialities include bacon and sweet pastries) and, of course, the country is the home of the original Legoland theme park ' a must-visit for postgraduates in Architecture and Engineering, surely? Danish higher education institutions come in various formats, but postgraduate programmes are typically only offered at full research universities, or university-level specialist training institutions.

A Masters in Denmark usually takes two years of full-time study to complete and the academic year runs from September to July (not including holiday periods). Masters in Denmark may be offered in Danish or English. EU and EEA nationals are eligible to study on the same basis as domestic students and will be eligible for free tuition.
