Masters in Tourism and Culture


Course Description

This MA is an international programme. Students may carry out part of their studies in another university which belongs to the International Tourism Masters Network.

•To contribute to a transdisciplinary vision of the management of culture, cultural industries and tourism;

•To enable coordination between these sectors in order to offer a high quality product;

•To provide an innovative and creative vision of culture and tourism management;

•To provide the skills needed to enable appropriate responses to the problems facing the tourism sector in cultural contexts;

•To develop skills in management, programming, media coverage and certification of tourism and cultural projects

Entry Requirements

a) Holder of Portuguese undergraduate degree (licenciatura) or legal equivalent in a relevant scientific area; or b) Holder of EU undergraduate degree in a relevant area (conferred according to the principles of the Bologna Process by a Member State) or c) Holder of a foreign academic first degree that is recognized and approved by the Scientific-Technical Council of the School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism; or d) Holder of an academic or professional CV, that is recognized as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies by the Scientific-Technical Council of the School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism.
