Business Administration MBA

Course Description

Recognised world-side, an MBA is postgraduate business and management degree which is aimed at individuals, managers and professionals who aspire to senior management and leadership positions.

If you are driven by personal development and a desire to succeed at the highest level, our MBA programme covers essential subjects key to management in the 21st century including the management of people, leadership, operations and information, accounting and finance, marketing, strategy and managing organisational change and the global economy. What Will You Study?

Students will undertake six modules (four core and two optional) of 20 credits each, followed by a dissertation worth 60 credits.

-15,000 words on a topic of your choice but must lie in the business and management discipline.

The information listed in this section is an overview of the academic content of the programme that will take the form of either core or option modules. Modules are designated as core or option in accordance with professional body requirements and internal academic framework review, so may be subject to change.

Assessment and Teaching

The taught modules will be assessed predominantly through individual or group assignments. However, several modules have an examination as part of the assessment procedure. You must pass all of your modules to attain 120 credits and progress to the dissertation stage.

To be awarded the MBA, successful completion of the dissertation is required, and 180 credits attained. You will be required to submit your dissertation in the autumn following assessment in May. Upon progression to the dissertation stage you will be allocated a supervisor to advise on the construction and progression of your dissertation.

Entry Requirements

An initial degree from an approved degree-awarding body or a non-graduate qualification which Wrexham Glyndŵr University deems of suitable standard for postgraduate study would be required. If you are a non-graduate, you will need to have held a position of responsibility (relevant to the course) at least for two years.
