International Economics and Finance - MSc

Course Description

This programme promotes a distinct approach to considering relevant problems and issues in international economics and finance, and to proactively devise and undertake coherent research problems, by applying appropriate analytical techniques.

You will have the benefit of learning from a diverse and varied teaching team, who have both academic and industry based experience, and are involved in an array of research and consultancy activities across the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Critical to your professional development is your awareness of responsible leadership, cross-cultural awareness and global citizenship; during your studies you will learn about these theories and concepts and how to put them into practice when managing yourself and others.

The teaching of this programme focuses on learning for the real world and your future employability. You will benefit from our well-established links with the financial services industry, who contribute to the programme through guest lectures, master classes and live case studies. These interactive teaching and learning methods are designed to improve your critical thinking and problem solving skills, whilst offering insight on some of the issues you will be faced with upon entering the sector.

MSc International Economics & Finance is aimed particularly, though not exclusively, at students who have previously studied elements of economics and finance within their undergraduate degree, but are looking to broaden their perspective from the purely domestic to the international arena.
