The programme offers a wide choice of modules which cover the skills that modern construction professionals need in order to meet the challenges of the industry. The programme allows you the scope to develop a bespoke skill set by selecting from the range of elective modules. It provides recent graduates and experienced professionals with an outstanding opportunity to upgrade their skills in order to enhance their career choices.
Core and elective modules: Construction Management; The Management of Health and Safety and the Environment; Sustainable Design and Construction; Construction Financial Management ; Project Management; Strategic Management in Construction and Property; Masters' Dissertation/project. Construction Economics and Procurement; Development and Project Economics; Construction Contracts and Disputes; International Construction Project Finance; Building Information Modelling for Management of Construction; Risk and Value Management.
The programme is designed to accept honours degree graduates, with a 2:2 and above, or equivalent in any discipline associated with the construction and property industry. Or, corporate membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. RICS, RIAS, CIOB).Applicants without a formal degree level qualification or strong qualifications in unrelated disciplines maybe accepted on to the PgD programme subject to relevant industry experience.IELTS level 6 (with no element less than 5.5)
