MSc Pharmacology

Course Description

The programme provides specialist training in the field of pharmacology. It is academically challenging and vocationally relevant, enabling you to develop a comprehensive understanding of the science of pharmacology.

As well as developing ‘bench’ skills, you will gain an understanding of techniques currently used in pharmacology. In addition, the programme promotes strong communication skills and independent thought, in preparation for employment or PhD studies.

The programme uses a variety of learning and teaching methods such as lectures, seminars, practical laboratory classes and a laboratory-based project.

The project is a key feature of the MSc programme, enabling you to develop independent thought through the application of theoretical principles studied during the course.

Entry Requirements

UK Honours degree 2:2 (or equivalent) in pharmacy or related biological science subject including evidence of anatomy and physiology. IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) with no element below 5.5.
