In this programme you will acquire advanced knowledge and skills in your chosen area. The Master of Management is particularly appealing if you want to develop further expertise in areas such as Marketing, Information Systems, Operation Management, Human Resources and Health Management.
The Master of Management builds on your Postgraduate Diploma in Business and is designed to help managers develop leading-edge business competency. It provides a foundation for new policy developments, strategic interventions and organisational change. A project-based action research learning degree, the Master of Management enhances individual competencies and the development of a Learning Organisation.
This is an individually tailored qualification that aims to bridge the business theory/practice gap by linking learning with a practical output in the form of internal consultancy. The two-year part-time masters degree includes a research component supported by coursework based on your specialisation.
Students with a qualification that includes research methods appropriate to masters research may be permitted to complete the Master of Management through a 120 points thesis (MANAGEMT 797: Applied Research in Organisation).
The Master of Management is a demanding postgraduate research degree requiring at least 20 hours per 30-point course per week. Many courses are taught in weekend format (fortnightly, Friday and Saturday).
To be considered for entry, candidates must have: * a Postgraduate Diploma in Business (with a B+ or better average) or its equivalent. * at least five years appropriate managerial experience.
