About the course

Discover the educational potentials of leaving the classroom and exploring the surroundings.

All children deserve the opportunity to learn and reach their full potential. This master’s programme will increase your knowledge about learning processes with a focus on school-based learning, using different modes and methods. The advanced courses in educational science will help teachers and other educators understand how a variety of outdoor environments can be used as resources for learning and knowledge. During the courses you will learn the theoretical backgrounds for using other learning environments than the classroom.

Entry Requirements

- A Teacher or Pre-school Teacher Degree of at least 180 ECTS credits
or
Bachelor's Degree, equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen, with a major in Education or the equivalent.
- English corresponding to the level of English in Swedish upper secondary education (Engelska 6)


Fees

Citizens from within the EU/EEA and Switzerland: No tuition fees.
All others: 107,000 SEK (approx.9,700 USD/9,300 Euro)

LiU International Scholarships are aimed at supporting international students with significant academic potential from countries outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland) who are required to pay tuition fees. We offer a limited number of LiU International Scholarships to new students. The tuition fees for a student awarded a LiU International Scholarship are reduced by 25, 50, 75 or 100%.

- have chosen a master’s programme at Linköping University as their first priority

- are required to pay tuition fees.
