This course provides you with a foundation for your advanced professional development in a rapidly changing business environment.
This course has been designed to develop critical analytical skills expected of a Masters degree graduate while providing you with the skills expected for modern business management at the same time.
You’ll gain an in-depth knowledge and critical understanding of a range of issues relevant to the strategic and general management of an organisation and, specifically, to the various responsibilities which managers have in relation to the governance of business and other organisations.
This is a part-time course. The pace of completion will be determined by an individualised programme of study that best suits you.

What you'll learn
You’ll be provided with a range of knowledge and skills across law, ethics, accounting and finance and business strategy, drawing on theoretical, practical and business perspectives with one of the main focuses being on the application of theory to practice.
You’ll develop your knowledge of the technical skills of accounting and finance, of a number of aspects of company law and of the importance of ethics and corporate governance and of how these are applied in the workplace.
In addition, in each area of the course you’ll develop a critical awareness of theory and the conflicts between theory and practice.

A masters award in Corporate Governance will provide you with a wide range of expertise across a number of business and related subject areas, as well as the critical awareness of how these contribute to the development and implementation of a company’s overall strategy.
This combination of subject expertise and the transferable skills that you’ll develop throughout the course means that you’ll be well placed to make an effective and valuable contribution across a range of business management functions.
The entry requirement for this course is a Bachelor (Honours) Degree at a 2:2 or above in a business related subject. If English is not your first language, it is usually required that you sit an English language test in order to gain entry onto our postgraduate programmes. This course requires the standard IELTS 6.0 with no individual component score of less than 5.5 or equivalent.
