Master of Fine Arts

Course Description

This degree comprises either a submission of work in Film, Graphic Design, Painting, Photography, Printmaking or Sculpture, or a combination of courses and submission of work.

Candidates must normally have completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours or equivalent with good grades in relevant subjects or significant professional practice or teaching experience.
Applicants must submit a proposal outlining the direction their practice will take for that year.
A special application to the School must be made by 1 November of the year preceding entry.

Entry Requirements

Normally the minimum requirement is a three-year bachelor’s degree from a New Zealand university, or a qualification or combination of qualifications considered to be equivalent.If you gained your qualifications overseas, these will need to be assessed to make sure they are of an equivalent standard.
