[[Overview]] This degree will prepare graduates for a professional career in water resource management and to develop innovative and effective methods for the sustainable management of this critical resource in New Zealand and internationally.
[[Qualification specific requirements]] Postgraduate Diploma in Water Resource Management or a relevant Bachelor's degree.
[[Qualification structure and duration]] The first year comprises three core courses: *WATR401 Advanced Water Resources *WATR402 Determinants of Water Availability and Quality *WATR403 Water Management, Policy and Planning
And other relevant courses. In the second year students undertake a research thesis with external stakeholder support and interest to provide them with experience in the sector.
[[Duration]] 2 years full-time; up to 4 years part-time. Part II (thesis) only: 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time.
Normally the minimum requirement is a three-year bachelor’s degree from a New Zealand university, or a qualification or combination of qualifications considered to be equivalent.If you gained your qualifications overseas, these will need to be assessed to make sure they are of an equivalent standard.
