[[Overview]] The University of Canterbury’s MBA programme is oriented towards general management. It aims to facilitate the transition from a technical or professional background to general manager by developing participants’ leadership and management skills. The MBA at UC is internationally accredited by the London-based Association of MBAs (AMBA). The programme facilitates opportunities to attend seminars, guest lectures and networking events, in addition to the course structure which incorporates compulsory and elective courses as well as a project.

Normally the minimum requirement is a three-year bachelor’s degree from a New Zealand university, or a qualification or combination of qualifications considered to be equivalent.If you gained your qualifications overseas, these will need to be assessed to make sure they are of an equivalent standard.Candidates must be approved by the Dean of Commerce who will take account of the relevance and standard of previous studies and experience. A degree or the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration must have been completed with good grades, and at least five years managerial work experience is required.
