Master in International Management

Course Description

The Masters in International Management is taught in English in 2 different countries and combines theory with managerial insights. Upon graduation, the participants will have acquired the knowledge and skills required to take on positions in companies operating in an international management environment.

The International Partnership of Business Schools (IPBS) is a consortium of leading business schools located in Europe and North America. Students spend Study Block 1 at either Reims Management School, France, Northeastern University, Boston, USA or Universidad De Las Americas, Puebla, Mexico. Study Block 2 and 3 are completed at either Dublin City University, Ireland, ESB Business School, Reutlingen, Germany or Università Cattolicà del Sacre Cuore, Piacenza, Italy.

Organisation and Length of Programme

The overall duration of the MIM programme is of 12 to 15 months, depending on the track selected. Starting dates vary from school to school, from early August (UDLAP, Mexico) to early September (RMS, France and NU, USA). The exact dates are communicated to the students by the schools themselves, once the candidate has enrolled in the IPBS Masters programme.

General organization (subject to slight modifications from school to school):

Study Block 1 : Aug/Sept – January

Aug/Sept – December (classes: 12 to 15 weeks)

January (examinations and/or move to 2nd country)

Study Block 2: February – May

February – April (classes: 12 to 15 weeks)

May (examinations)

Study block 3 : June – August (Masters Thesis)

Entry Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field (e.g. engineering, law, economics). Candidates without a business degree must demonstrate business knowledge by having taken at least 4 business courses, of which 2 should be in the quantitative area (e.g. accounting, finance, statistics, economics, logistics). 6 months work experience.A minimum TOEFL result of 83 (ibt) or 220 (cbt) is also required. The IELTS is accepted in lieu of the TOEFL: the minimum IELTS requirement is a 6.5 overall band score, with a minimum of 6.0 in each of the components.
