This course exposes participants to a practical analysis of corporate financial reporting. The course will provide students with opportunities to review financial accounting principles and to apply them to recent corporate issues.
The course also introduces broad business context in which financial accounting is prepared, delivered, and consumed. Specific topics include standards setting process, impact of fair value accounting, earning management and earnings quality.
This course starts from where we left ACT1010 (Financial Accounting). Anybody who hasn't taken ACT1010 or equivalent should take ACT1010 instead of this course.
