The ESMT Master's in Management (MIM) combines fieldwork in global companies with applied coursework and research on the latest business management theories. Admitted students have a variety of backgrounds during their bachelor's studies and use the time at ESMT to gain valuable knowledge and interdisciplinary experience on how to apply their previous expertise to economic and management problems.
The program is designed for students with any backgrounds, interested in global management. The courses are divided into two streams with a focus on international management. One stream is designed for quantitative decision analysts (Quantitative Business) and one stream for creative and strategic thinkers (Innovative Management). Depending on the stream, students can choose among four specializations:

The MIM includes significant in-company experience for up to 11 months. You will complete an internship and projects in Germany or abroad. ESMT’s career services will work with you to find the right company placement, which can be conducted in a global corporation, a mid-size company or Berlin start-up. Committed companies so far include Allianz, Axel Springer, Barclays, BMW, Bosch, Daimler, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Post DHL, EY, E.ON, Gazprom, McKinsey, Siemens and ThyssenKrupp.
Career management is an integral part of the MIM program with regular seminars built into the curriculum. From day one you will start working to improve your CV and interview skills. By the end of the MIM program, you will better understand how to plan your job search strategy, navigate your own career path, build and activate your own networks and negotiate your desired salary.
In addition to the soft skills necessary for your career, you will be able to learn directly from senior business leaders what it is like to work in various industries. You will meet with representatives from industry, logistics, consulting, and transportation sectors to name a few.

Meet our MIM class of 2016-2018: our most international class gathering an elite group of talented recent graduates from all over the world. The MIM program accepts top-performing students with a first degree and little or no postgraduate work experience. No matter where they come from or what they've studied, all our students share a desire to launch an international career while applying analytical solutions to today's business problems.
Our MIM classes are small, diverse groups. ESMT searches for students with international experience who can perform work in high-performing, diverse teams. Our MIM program is by far the most diverse in Germany - no one country makes up more than 15% of the class.
At 87% international, the Master's in Management program is actually the most diverse program of its kind in Germany. Students come from 28 different countries, and are on average 23. Many, but not all, completed studies or internships outside of their home country.
For German applicants, the MIM program is an excellent way to get immersed in an international setting while living in Berlin and gaining valuable contacts in Germany's top companies.

ESMT offers partial-tuition scholarships for accepted Master's in Management students who show academic merit.Scholarships are allocated based on academic excellence, personal and professional achievement, leadership potential, and interpersonal skills. Candidates from the subject area of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) are especially encouraged to apply, although scholarships have been awarded to candidates with any backgrounds.

There is an extra essay available for applicants to explain their suitability for a scholarship.
In order to enroll in the Quantitative Business stream:• Proof of strong quantitative abilities, whether with a degree in an analytical field (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) or quantitative economics, finance, or a similar topic• OR a degree in any discipline with a strong GMAT score (top 20% globally in the quantitative section). A GMAT is recommended for those applicants.In order to enroll in the Innovative Management stream:• A degree in any discipline with excellent grades• GMAT or GRE is optional but may be requested in certain cases by the Admissions Team
