Full-time MBA

Course Description

The 12-month Full-Time MBA programme immerses participants in a highly personalised teaching and learning environment with around 40 students each year. With course content drawn from theory and business cases from around the world, an international faculty and highly diverse student body, the Full-Time MBA programme, taught in English, provides a truly international experience.

Programme Structure

The MBA programme is divided into four parts: Core Modules & Career Development Courses, Integration Courses, Electives and Corporate Project. The nine core modules are delivered from September to December and focus on a range of general management subjects. Simultaneously, students take four Career Development Courses to improve leadership, communication and other important personal soft skills. Before the start of the elective modules, all students participate in the Integration Courses, which challenge participants to think across disciplines in multidisciplinary ways. Following the Integration Courses, electives are offered from March to June, and students select a minimum of six out of roughly 20 modules offered. Non-native German speakers are required to take German courses that count toward the six modules. The Corporate Project is carried out from June to August.

Learning Methods

Each module consists of preparation reading for both academic literature and case studies. Class time will involve a mixture of teaching, open discussion, group presentations and guest speakers. The balance of these will vary depending on both the subject matter being handled and the professor leading the module. During the Core Modules, you will be allocated a new project group for each module ranging between 3-7 people, ensuring that you will have worked with most of your new classmates over the duration of the first four months. During the Elective Modules, part-time MBA students and MBA Alumni will join the classes.

Assessment Methods

Throughout the MBA, you will be assessed on a variety of skills and each module will comprise a number of assessments, including but not limited to:
- Individual written assignments
- Examinations
- Class participation
- Group presentations
- Group written assignments
