Managing and leading people are crucial skills for today’s managers. If you manage and lead your team successfully then you will be seen as a good leader who is delivering professional and business success.
The Department of Human Resource Management will provide you with these skills through the Managing and Leading People programme. This programme provides you with the flexibility to achieve a Masters degree in three manageable stages.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
The three stages are Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma and Masters. Each stage is structured independently allowing you to progress to a Masters degree at a pace that suits you. Each stage is a qualification on its own so if you are restricted by time you can just select to achieve the Postgraduate Certificate. You can then at a later date re-join the programme to complete the remaining stages.
The programme has been designed to incorporate occupational standards from the world of business so you can be such that the skills you acquire are the skills employers want. The programme also offers you the opportunity to achieve a professional qualification from the Institute of Leadership and Management.
To achieve the Masters Degree students must have completed the Postgraduate Diploma stage or equivalent. You will then complete the following modules.
Leading change in organisations, masters dissertation. Students will be required to study Research Methods within the Masters Dissertation.
