Course Description

The aim of the CEIBS EMBA programme is to help Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs and executives, who have contributed greatly to China's economic transition but still have some limitations, develop their professional management skills. We believe that participants in the CEIBS EMBA programme should not only posses knowledge of business practice, but also have professional management skills, updates on international regulations and profound thinking and analytical ability. CEIBS EMBA programme helps students improve in the following four areas:

Each student shall understand and be able to apply fundamental concepts from the basic business disciplines of accounting, finance, decision sciences, economics,
marketing, and management.
Each student shall be able to integrate knowledge across functional areas to diagnose and solve complex business problems.
Each student shall understand the unique challenges of operating in China's transitional economic environment as an integrated part of the global economy.
Each student shall be capable of identifying and implementing management systems that are suitable to the organization's capabilities and environmental situation.

Apart from an increase in knowledge and skills, participants of the EMBA programme and their employers will also benefit in many other areas.

The two-year programme begins in late March every year.
Students meet once a month, for four consecutive days from Thursday morning to Sunday afternoon.
Students are required to take one Global Management Module conducted in USA and they can also attend the one in Europe. Each module lasts for approximately 10 days.
Students graduate with their counterparts in the Chinese programme from Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen in September two years later.
