A MSc by research is offered in cold atomic physics. The student will learn a number of skills in lasers, vacuum technology, electronics, computer interfacing and physics theory. There will be the possibility of extension to a PhD (minimum duration 36 months) for good students. The transfer to the PhD programme takes place after 12 months at the MSc level. The position is fully funded and covers a monthly stipendium of appox. €1000 + fees (tax free). The research will be carried out in a young and vibrant research group within the Tyndall National Institute.
