After all, we are the preferred legal training provider to over 30 major law firms http://www.law.ac.uk/postgraduate/lpc/#law-firms and we've trained more lawyers than anyone else.

Want the best start in your career as a solicitor? Study the LPC at The University of Law and develop the skills to succeed.

Gain a Masters for free

When you enrol on the core LPC, either of the following Masters qualifications are available to you at no extra cost:

MSc in Law, Business and Management

If you want to become a partner in a law firm or progress through any number of career paths, our MSc will provide you with the skills you’ll need in practice:

‌•Client-focus and embedded business skills to enable you to deliver commercially focused advice
‌•Development of essential professional skills ranging from oral and written communication, through to meeting skills and project and risk management
‌•A wide selection of electives to cover your specialist areas of interest
‌•Innovative assessment to ensure you have the skills law firms require
‌•Expert teaching by qualified solicitors and barristers in addition to lectures by visiting professors
‌•Successfully complete your LPC course with an additional Law and Business module and Business Case Study Report and we will award you an MSc in Law, Business and Management.

LPC LLM in Professional Legal Practice

Alternatively, successfully complete your LPC with an extra module and a Professional Practice Research Report and you will receive an LPC LLM with a Masters in Law.

If you only want the LPC

If you choose not to undertake either the MSc or LLM you can still complete the LPC without the Masters award. You will be issued with a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice and will still have completed the vocational stage of training requirements.

Unrivalled employability support

You will also benefit from our excellent track-record of helping students to find training contracts – with access to our award-winning Careers and Employability Service as soon as you accept your place.

In 2014, more graduates from The University of Law secured training contracts than from any other college. 97% of our full-time 2014 and 2015 LPC students had secured employment within nine months of graduation (based on known destinations).

Flexible study options

Each course features modular delivery incorporating flexible study options to suit you, including accelerated, full and part-time courses:

‌•Our full-time accelerated LPC allows you to complete the course in just six months, meaning you can fast-track your training and start your career months ahead of students on standard full-time courses. You can choose between two convenient start dates – January and July – and benefit from a choice of convenient locations across the country.

‌•Our full-time LPC allows you to complete your training and start your career within a year. You can choose to have all your face-to-face tuition and workshops for the core practice areas concentrated into two set days a week. Please note that you may have to come into university on additional days for assessments and that this option is subject to availability at your centre of choice.

‌•Our part-time LPC allows you to complete the course within two years during the day, evening, or at weekends. The course blends self-study with either one full day a week, two evenings a week, or one full weekend, approximately twice a month. This means you can fit your study around existing work or other commitments and offers a choice of convenient study locations.

Please note: Students with a disability applying for a Disabled Students’ Allowance, please be advised that they are not eligible to apply for the full-time 6 months accelerated LPC. A list of University of Law courses designated for DSA funding can be found on the Higher Education Funding Council for England website http://www.hefce.ac.uk/TheRegister/Provider/10039956/
