... that you will get to know people from all over the world sharing one classroom with you: 84% of our graduates 2013 were coming from abroad and 16% from Germany. Despite the diversity of our study groups, there is one thing that unites them all and this is the motivation to give their career a different direction. And this is what our graduates 2013 achieved in terms of career change/transition: 50% changed position and industry, 27 % changed position in the same industry and 4% changed position within the same company. So all in all 81% of our graduates successfully achieved a career change.
What most of our international candidates intrigues about studying for an MBA in Germany and in Berlin is the opportunity to work for a company in Germany after graduation. Of our international graduates 2013 59% achieved this goal. And here are some examples of career change/career transitions:
One of our graduates from Spain who was working as a research analyst is now working as a Regional Manager for a start-up company in Berlin. A project engineer from Greece is now working as a consultant for a company in the renewable energy area in Berlin. A journalist and researcher from the US joined a start-up company in Berlin as Communications & Marketing Manager. An IT Analyst from Russia became Head of Office IT in Berlin. A Business Development Manager from Norway moved the career ladder up and is now Director of Business Development in Frankfurt a.M.
AMBA accredited MBA programme
The MBA provision of the IMB has been granted accreditation by the internationally renowned Association of MBAs (AMBA). The IMB is only the fourth institution in Germany to achieve this "International Crown". The international accreditation ensures the high quality and relevance of the postgraduate General Management studies at the IMB Institute of Management Berlin.

Living the international approach
The MBA in International Management focuses on leadership responsibilities and consulting activities in international businesses and organisations. The programme systematically examines all corporate areas – from market and financial aspects to organisational challenges as well as steering businesses in international markets.
Through the close cooperation with our international partner universities, students on this programme can not only enrich their intercultural experience on visits abroad, but also take modules in specialised areas there. This international approach is equally evident in the content of the lectures and seminars, and in the high proportion of modules taught in English.
Students on the MBA in International Management have already gathered significant experience in a variety of positions and areas. Thanks to their diverse academic backgrounds, they can draw on a spectrum of knowledge to offer valuable new approaches and insights into ways of work and corporate practices. With living cases as an integral part of the MBA in International Management, students can acquire substantial international and intercultural management expertise and further develop their leadership skills.
