MA Community Development (International Perspectives on Participatory Development & Governance)

Course Description

The MA Community Development (International) program is designed to equip students with skills in applying theory to practice, and strengthen students’ understanding of community development and catalyzing change.

A unique programme from the University of Victoria and the Society for Participatory Research in Asia (India), it will primarily be delivered online with two face-to-face residency sessions in New Delhi, India.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for admission the minimum requirements are:- A baccalaureate degree (or equivalent from another country) from an accredited and recognized institution in a relevant field of study- A grade point average of 5.0 (B) in the work of the last two years (30 units) leading to this baccalaureate degree- A minimum of four years of professional experience, paid or volunteer, in one of the three streams of the broader community development sector (non-profit, cooperative, community economic development)
