Master's programme in Environment and Resource Management


Course Description

In our one year programme, environmental problems are often discussed from the perspective of environmental economics, i.e. in terms of the competition for scarce resources and space.

Current research topics at VU University Amsterdam (the Netherlands)

- What are the most cost-effective ways of adapting to climate change?
- The energy market is being liberalized. How will this affect the environment?
- How can we involve stakeholders in the search for creative solutions to complex environmental problems such as water management and spatial planning?
- What are the costs, benefits and potential pitfalls of ecotourism?
