Master's Programme in Paleo-Climate and Geo-Ecosystems

Course Description

The central goal of the Master's Programme Paleo-Climate and Geo-Ecosystems at VU University Amsterdam (the Netherlands) is to make you understand the processes controlling climatic and environmental change on Earth. Fundamental research will be presented using terrestrial and marine archives and used to assess the mechanisms involved in changing Earth’ climate and environment. In particular the impact of climate change on environment and its feedbacks on the driving forces are central topics in this Master's programme. Geological reconstructions, compared with results from computer modelling experiments, help to unravel the driving mechanisms for natural climate change.
