If you have a Bachelor's in law, a curious and analytical mind, and a desire to dig deep into complex legal issues, you'll find the LLM Legal Research to be a programme of unparalleled quality, opportunity, and relevance. Facilitated by Utrecht's Law Faculty- renowned throughout Europe for prolific and excellent legal research- this 2-year prestige Master's gives you the time and support to lay a solid foundation for an academic, commercial, PhD or public policy career. A maximum of 25 participants begin the LLM Legal Research each year. Challenging courses in research methodologies, academic writing, and the dynamics of law in the EU and international context prepare you to take on a variety of research projects, deepening your research skills and knowledge in your preferred legal field. Working with your professors you gain an academic network as well, helpful for future PhD research.

SELECTION CRITERIAEligible candidates are selected for a scholarship on the basis of the following criteria:- Academic excellence and promise in the proposed field of study; - The academic quality and results of preceding qualifications, as evidenced by proof of belonging to the top 10% of the class, grades, test scores, a writing sample, letters of recommendation; - The quality and relevance of the motivation letter for the Master’s programme (academic content, intercultural and communication skills, personal motivation); - The quality of the application for the Master’s programme itself (completeness, accuracy, consistency).

Tuition fee or Tuition fee plus living expenses (€11,000)
-Belong to the top 10% of your graduating class - Hold a non-EU/EEA passport and not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans - Have completed your secondary school and/or Bachelor degree outside the Netherlands - Have applied for one of the participating international master’s programme with a start date of September.
Bachelor degree with a major in law with a minimum grade average of 7.0 on a scale from 1 to 10. Bachelor degree at University College or Roosevelt Academy, including at least six law courses (45 ECTS) with a minimum grade average of 7.0 on a scale from 1 to 10.
