Clinical Anatomy and Education - MSc


Course Description

The MSc in Clinical Anatomy and Education is designed to provide advanced training in clinically applied human anatomy. The programme is built around core dissection-based modules and offers you the opportunity to conduct whole body dissection in a newly developed Thiel embalmed and plastination facility. You can tailor the programme to suit your individual interests and will learn from expert tutors as well as experienced clinicians. This programme is designed especially for intercalated medical students, anatomy teachers, trainee surgeons, physiotherapists, sports scientists and other health professionals.

In addition to developing advanced anatomical skills and knowledge, this programme provides a comprehensive professional education that focuses on developing teachers and researchers of anatomy. You will be trained in pedagogical techniques that will allow you to teach anatomy to students and health care professionals.

Course Structure

This programme offers a combination of core and elective modules, giving you the opportunity to develop fundamental anatomical knowledge whilst also allowing you to specialise in specific topics suited to your professional interests.

HYMS MSc in Clinical Anatomy/ Clinical Anatomy and Education Scholarship - 3 Awards

We are pleased to be able to offer three scholarships for the MSc in Clinical Anatomy. Applicants must submit a completed PGT Scholarship Application Form to [email protected] by midnight on the 31st July 2016. Applicants must hold a current offer to be eligible for this scholarship. Final decisions on granting the scholarship will rest with the Programme Director(s).Home/EU Student: £2,500All offer holders for the MSc in Clinical Anatomy or Clinical Anatomy and Education who are assessed to be Home/EU fee status are eligible to apply.Intercalating Medical Student: £2,500All offer holders who are currently studying toward a medical degree and intend to complete the MSc in Clinical Anatomy or Clinical Anatomy and Education as an intercalated are eligible to apply.International Student: £5,025All offer holders for the MSc in Clinical Anatomy or Clinical Anatomy and Education who are assessed to be Overseas fee status are eligible to apply.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a current offer for either the HYMS MSc in Clinical Anatomy or the MSc in Clinical Anatomy and Education to be eligible for this scholarship.

Entry Requirements

Applicants to the MSc in Clinical Anatomy / Clinical Anatomy with education must have previous training in human or mammalian biology. (e.g. graduates from medical, biomedical, anatomical science, veterinary medicine, and zoology backgrounds). Intercalating students must have successfully completed of a minimum of three years of an MB BS or comparable medical qualification.
