This programme is designed for graduates and/or those with recent relevant professional experience to enhance employability and effectiveness via the development of a range of cognitive, intellectual, practical, personal and interpersonal skills combined with knowledge appropriate to the events and venue industry.
The award provides a contextual knowledge base from which you can interpret relevant concepts and theories and develop ideas in order to not only provide solutions to the complex challenges facing event and venue organisations but also communicate these solutions effectively to a range of audiences.
During these processes, you will be developing research skills for both academic and professional projects within a range of contexts that will reflect your interests.
Range of modules
Include Managing events in a Digital World, The Staging and Evaluation of Events, Advanced Operations Management and Contemporary Event & Venue Management.
You will experience a wide variety of learning activities. Opportunities to interact with the workplace will include engagement in visits and field trips, guest speakers and seminars, and employer led projects and activity in appropriate work related topics
You will need a good degree (minimum 2.2) or equivalent in a related discipline. Those applying from non-event related disciplines may be required to study a range of level 6 modules before being accepted onto the Masters award.Candidates with significant relevant work experience and related qualifications are encouraged to apply.International students are required to have IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
