In the lookout for an LL.M. programme a variety of features should be borne in mind in order to make an informed decision. In my particular case, after thorough research and a cost-benefit analysis, those features were reduced to the following three specific aspects: (i) academic quality and reputation, (ii) international focus, and (iii) funding opportunities, the ICGFR programme offered the best option for my needs.

Both the ICGFR programme and the Warwick Law School stand out in the field. The first aspect that attracted me to the ICGFR programme was its interconnected variety of modules focused on corporate and finance law, as well as Warwick Law School’s contextual and international approach to the study of law. Lecturers are experts in their field, keen to share knowledge and committed to engage students with the modules. Moreover, lecturers have an open door policy during their office hours, which is of great help.

The University of Warwick offers a great environment for both academic and non-academic activities and provides additional tools for the professional development of its students (such as the Students Careers & Skills programme); I look forward to completing the LL.M. and putting it into practice.
