This programme is designed to meet the needs of participants from the public, private and voluntary sectors who are interested in developing research and evaluation skills in subject areas informed by social policy concerns. It allows for a personalised experience by giving you the chance to select one of three streams to focus on. It enables acquisition of state-of-the-art skills in research design, implementation and analysis; an advanced level of knowledge and analytical skill in your chosen specialism; as well as competence in carrying out high quality research, demonstrated through the report that forms the dissertation.
Entry requirements are normally a BA Hons or BSc Hons degree in one of the social sciences or in a cognate area including a research methods component.
