MSc Biotechnology, Medical and Healthcare


Course Description

The course is primarily designed for those who wish to develop their career in the biosciences, with particular emphasis on medical and healthcare biotechnology (including bio-pharmaceutical and bio-industries). The MSc programme comprises three academic semesters in duration. In semester one, students study four 15-credit point modules. In semester two, students study three modules. In semester three, students study the module Biotechnology research project (60-credit points). On completion of this course, you will have gained experience of problem solving and research design in a range of selected medical and healthcare biotechnology areas.

Entry Requirements

Normally a second class (or higher) degree (or equivalent) with an overall mark of at least 55% in a science subject which contains a significant element of biological sciences
