Electrical engineering is about the research, design, development, manufacturing and management of complex hardware and software systems and reliable cost-effective devices, many involving the use of new information and computer-intensive technologies.
The Master of Professional Engineering (Electrical) is a three year full-time course delivering technical and professional outcomes that will allow you to be recognised as an Australian graduate engineer in this field. This degree has been given full accreditation at the level of Professional Engineering by the industry governing body, Engineers Australia http://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/
If your bachelor's degree included foundational engineering units, you may be given advanced standing and be eligible to enrol either in a reduced length graduate certificate or directly into the Master of Professional Engineering. Entry pathways are available for students with widely varying backgrounds.
In this course you will engage in areas of study including electricity networks, engineering electromagnetics, digital signal processing and electrical circuit design. You will also have the opportunity to complete either an engineering project or research at the end of the course.
