This MSc provides you with the essential skills and knowledge for a successful career in financial management, and will develop the managerial and technical analytical skills required by employers in the private and public sectors. This degree offers a broad training in management and marketing methods, together with an in-depth appreciation of the financial environment of contemporary business, with a wide range of opportunities in the second term to specialise in advanced topics in finance and management.

Autumn term: you take Corporate and International Finance • Institutions in the Global Financial Market • Investment. You also choose two from Accounting for Decision-Makers • Global Business • Marketing Management • Management Accounting and Control • Bank Financial Management • Management,
Innovation and Organisational Performance.
Spring term: you take Research Methods. You also take four options. You choose at least one from Banking and Financial Institutions • Corporate Governance • Entrepreneurial Finance • Financial Derivatives •Bank Risk Management • Money and Banking • Multinational Financial Management, and at
least two from Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility • Global Marketing Management • International Entrepreneurship • Information Systems and Management • International Human Resource Management • Strategic Management • Managing Complex Projects, Products and Systems.
In addition, you research and write a Business Analysis Report based around the analytical techniques in management and finance you have learned on the course.
A research methods module runs during the spring term providing preparation for the Business Analysis Report.
Modules are assessed by a variety of methods: coursework, essays, group and individual reports, presentations and unseen examinations.
