MSc Environmental Management and Assessment (Health and Safety)

Course Description

Do you want a Masters qualification to help you move into the rewarding areas of environmental management and Health & Safety? Alternatively, do you want to enhance your career prospects by undertaking job-relevant postgraduate training? We have designed this course to deliver on both objectives.
The course is accredited by IOSH, the leading chartered body for Health & Safety professionals. On completion of the Masters you can become a graduate member of IOSH. More and more employers are looking for membership of IOSH when it comes to recruitment and promotion.

The distance learning format allows you to study when and where you like. Our academic staff will guide you through the course and provide the support you need, no matter where you are based. Modules include ‘Environment Auditing and Management Systems’, ‘Risk Assessment and Management’ and ‘Health & Safety’.

For the Masters research project you can negotiate a topic that reflects your personal interests and career aspirations as well as our supervisory expertise. Sunderland’s research specialisms include air pollution, contaminated land and environmental accountability.

The full-time course starts in September and the part-time course starts in August.

Visit the MSc Environmental Management and Assessment (Health and Safety) page on the University of Sunderland website for more details!
