The Safety & Risk Management Leadership programme offers two study options.
- Postgraduate Certificate
This course runs over one full academic session. You're required to successfully complete 12 modules.
- Non-graduating course
This allows you to complete individual modules for University credit which may be useful for those looking for career development or building a CPD portfolio. You can undertake one or more modules over the course of the academic session and pay your fees per module.
This programme is designed for people who already have a suitable combination of academic ability and work experience.
Admission to the programme is determined by both academic and work experience criteria.
Applicants holding a recognised University degree or equivalent qualification will be eligible to join the Safety and Risk Management Leadership Programme at Postgraduate Certificate level. Applicants who don't have the relevant qualifications will be assessed for admission on the basis of their portfolio of courses undertaken, accreditation of prior learning and relevant work experience.

Students who successfully complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Safety and Risk Management Leadership may then consider entry to the Postgraduate Diploma in Safety and Risk Management followed by the MSc.
Learning & teaching
This course is by distance learning only, delivered online via the University's Virtual Learning Environment, Myplace. Each student will be assigned a personal tutor, who will provide you with an appropriate level of guidance, assessment and feedback.
Assessment is based on continuous assessment of written assignment - there's no examinations.
