These are designed to develop and enhance the knowledge and skills critical for our graduates' future careers in project management and innovation. We place great emphasis on your ability to work effectively in complex, dynamic and uncertain environments, and to recognise the challenges that these circumstances pose.

Our teaching and learning methods are designed so that you develop skills in recognition of challenges, opportunities and can develop strategies for change. Simultaneously, the project management in practice and personal development modules provide you with leadership, project management and professional communication skills that are essential for career progression into project leadership roles, as well as experience of working with clients, and putting theory into practice.

You'll also be able to pursue your individual interests and further develop specialised skills relevant to your preferred career paths through a wide range of elective classes.

A degree in project management is the ideal start to building a successful career in management.

Project management is used in all industry sectors. In engineering, construction and events management, business is fully managed using project-based structures and techniques. In areas such as finance, mass manufacturing and retail, project management is increasingly being adopted to improve business and enable change.

A project management graduate will find a variety of opportunities with many large companies hiring through graduate apprenticeship schemes. Once employed, a trainee project manager will begin by managing small-scale projects. However, due to the fast-moving nature of this work, and the exposure to the wider business and to senior management that this role affords, a competent practitioner will quickly progress to larger and more complex roles. These roles often encompass external facing responsibilities such as client liaison and supply chain control.
