The LLM in Professional Legal Practice is an opportunity for aspiring and current lawyers to gain a full masters degree through part-time study.
The LLM acknowledges work already undertaken as part of the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice or English Legal Practice Course. The Masters qualification is awarded upon completion of a legal Research methods module and a 15,000 word dissertation with an in-depth focus on an area of law/practice of the student’s choice.
Lord Hope Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme
The Law School is delighted to announce the launch of the Lord Hope Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme. Under this initiative, up to twelve partial scholarships of £1,000 each (£500 for Part-Time) shall be available for applicants across our range of LLM/MSc programmes in the academic year 2014/15. The awards will be granted on a competitive footing offered on the basis of financial need and academic merit. In addition to the financial award, the successful applicants shall also be invited to attend a celebratory dinner hosted by patron of the scheme and Emeritus Professor of the Law School, the Rt Honourable Lord Hope of Craighead KT, PC, FRSE.
Value of Scholarship(s)
Scholarship applicants must first submit an application for one of the Law School's programmes listed and be able to demonstrate high academic achievement and financial need.All applications must be received by Friday 30 May 2014
