Programme details

The aim of the course is to develop your critical and contextual practice, contemporary and innovative methodologies, cross-disciplinary and collaborative practices, and reflective studio-based practice.

During your time with us, you will be encouraged to undertake independent contextual and theoretical research that will improve your capacity for independent enquiry, creativity and professional practice.

Postgraduate Bursaries 2011
The School of Art and Design is very pleased to announce that bursaries are available to applicants, for taught postgraduate programmes, for a September 2011 start. There are two types of bursaryOpen Bursaries
A number of open bursaries, each worth £1000, are available to any applicants, either internal or external to the University. Open bursaries are awarded through competition and the deadline for receipt of applications is 3rd May 2011.Internal Bursaries
A number of internal bursaries, each worth £500, are available to students who have been, or will be, awarded an undergraduate degree by the University of Salford. Nominations for internal bursaries are made by admissions tutors when applicants apply for a place on a programme, so early applications are recommended.International Scholarships

Entry Requirements

Relevant undergraduate degree, normally at 2:1 or above, and supporting portfolio of practice. Applicants with an undergraduate degree of 2:2 will be considered where a high quality portfolio of practice is presented.
