Our construction sector is moving to an increasingly digital mode of operating; our aim is to apply, deliver, benefit from and shape these changes.
We develop expertise and skills in building information modelling (BIM) and in the use of information management systems, tools and processes in architecture, engineering, construction and operations. This course provides up-to-date knowledge of information management systems and processes for integrated project delivery and asset management. We work collaboratively in case studies of real world socio-technical change in the sector. The distinctive focus is on the implementation and use of digital technologies in the construction sector.
• Collaboration, Practice and Innovation • Information Systems in Construction • Building Information Modelling • Advanced Visualisation • Analysing Construction Processes.
What career can you have?

Architecture, Building and Construction Management
Join us in our programme of discovery and creative thinking, designed to question and challenge conventional wisdom about the built environment.
Our aim is the co-creation of new knowledge and understanding about complex and challenging problems.
The School of Construction Management and Engineering is one of the world’s leading university departments dealing with the built environment. The School is truly multidisciplinary in nature and our staff have extensive experience as advisers, consultants and visiting lecturers to commercial organisations, governments and universities globally. We also attract students from all over the world.
Our MSc courses are focused on ensuring an excellent student experience, dealing with new ideas, tools and techniques, and exposure to the latest research. We supplement this excellent teaching with twenty-first century technologies.
Excellent facilities include a dedicated computer lounge for use by our students, equipped with the latest digital technology and software, including building information modelling (BIM), 3D laser scanning, building energy simulations and urban microclimate simulations. The School also possesses laboratory space and experimental equipment to support student research projects.
You are normally required to have a good undergraduate honours degree (or equivalent from a university outside the UK). If you have other qualifications and a number of years' relevant work experience then you may also be eligible to apply.
