Rural Land and Business Management (MSc)

Course Description

This professionally accredited degree equips students for a career in rural asset management, blending strategic decision making skills with detailed knowledge of the relevant law, management, finance and valuation frameworks.

The course offers a fast track into a career as a rural asset manager and is fully accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. We help you to develop an analytical, strategic approach to managing and advising on rural land and estates. We underpin this by developing your understanding of the legal, social, ecological and economic aspects of the rural environment. A selection of optional modules enables you to study specialist issues. The programme culminates in either a project or dissertation, which consolidates your learning.

Entry Requirements

UK students must possess a good first degree, either in a cognate subject (such as Agriculture, Agricultural Business Management, Agricultural Economics, Rural Resource Science, Environmental Management, Geography), or a non-cognate degree and some evidence of relevant work experience and interest. EU and international applicants must demonstrate an upper quartile performance from an internationally recognised University. Students whose first language is not English are required to provide evidence of proficiency.
