The MSc Advanced Professional Practice (Physiotherapy) postgraduate programme is based in the School of Health Professions. The physiotherapy pathway will have at least one pathway specific module related to the title of the award but share four core modules (applying evidence to practice, developing self and others, project design for research, research dissertation) with the MSc Advanced Professional Practice programme.

The pathways also share a range of programme optional modules, giving you flexibility and choice. All modules are subject to minimum numbers. The programme offers awards of postgraduate certificate (PgCert) - 60 credits, postgraduate diploma (PgDip) - 120 credits, and masters degree (MSc) - 180 credits. The full-time route will normally take one year and the part-time route will normally take two years. The maximum registration period for the full time is three years and five years if you study part time.

You’ll be assessed individually for your ability to study at this level and an interview may be necessary. You’ll normally be required to submit a short piece of writing as part of the admissions process.

Claims for credit for prior learning, whether certificated or experiential are accepted and will be assessed following University regulations and faculty procedures.
