The global case for sustainability is now beyond doubt, and the government’s lead in promoting sustainable development and sustainable construction demonstrates a strong link with national economic needs. Project management, both within the construction and property fields, has been a mainstream discipline both at undergraduate and postgraduate level for over 25 years in the UK. This programme builds upon that undergraduate provision and the high level expertise of current staff, which include an experienced management researcher and senior managers from two of the UK’s top construction consultancies. Sustainable Construction Project Management will appeal to existing construction professionals who wish to update their knowledge and skills in relation to sustainable construction and project management and to non-cognate and semi-cognate graduates who wish to change their career paths. The programme is well-suited to non-cognate entry reflecting the transferability of project management skills and techniques.
