Creativity and Enterprise MA

Course Description

This programme offers a unique opportunity to existing practitioners or individuals with aspirations to develop their careers within the creative and cultural industries, to continue their creative practice developments, embed good business practice and consider enterprise opportunities.

This flexible programme provides an exciting opportunity for you to extend your creative and cultural practice alongside the investigation, development and application of the essential skills associated with good business practice, enterprise development and entrepreneurship. The provision enables you to develop a focussed, specialist or multidisciplinary approach to your work, whilst encouraging the effective application of skill and knowledge to engage creatively with an envolving enterprise context and support your career developments and creative aspirations. The breadth and focus of the award intends to embrace
both practitioners and administrators from the arts, creative and cultural sectors (visual arts and media, 3D and applied
design, creative technologies, theatre and performance, arts and cultural management, etc). Activities will vary in line with individual priorities and specialisms, however, investigation, development and exploitation of enterprise opportunities will be central to the programme’s philosophy, delivery and expectations. The programme ethos encourages innovation, originality
and enterprise, underpinned by experience, knowledge and expertise in a creative and cultural context and through the investigation and application of research and theory.

Entry Requirements

Appropriate professional experience in a creative or cultural context or a good Honours degree in a related discipline; IELTS of 6.5 or equivalent
