The MSc Radiography has been designed to provide radiographers with advanced theoretical knowledge to enhance their clinical skills.
Radiography in the School of Healthcare Sciences is accredited by the Society and College of Radiographers, and the skills you can obtain are transferable to all NHS Trusts and are recognised overseas.
This full-time course aims to expand your knowledge in areas such as image appreciation, radiographic reporting and mammography and many other practices associated with radiography.
It also aims to equip you to meet the ever-changing needs of this fast-developing sector, and a high volume of course content will be delivered by experienced radiologists and clinical specialists. You will also have ample opportunity to work in clinical settings with plenty of hands-on experience.
The course comprises a mix of profession specific modules and generic modules, and full-time students take four taught modules in one academic year, with a further six months to complete the dissertation.

The MSc in Physiotherapy course was a great experience for me. I especially appreciated the method of teaching academic study to the postgraduate students where you can improve and develop your research abilities. The supportive teaching atmosphere and the ability to access a vast collection of information from the libraries helped me greatly. My research results were accepted for presentation as a poster in a conference and I have now had a paper accepted for the Journal Physical Therapy.
Monica Busse (Physiotherapy)
"I wanted to continue with my postgraduate studies so that I can develop the necessary research skills. Doing a PhD in my particular area will help me to continue my academic and professional development. In the Research Centre for Clinical Kinaesiology (Department of Physiotherapy Education), I have found the staff to be very supportive and friendly. Cardiff is a great city to live in and the outdoor activities are an added bonus."
