Neonatal Medicine

Course Description

As an online distance-learning programme, teaching will be delivered via Learning Central, Cardiff University’s virtual learning environment. This will incorporate interactive learning materials and discussion forums to which students will contribute and learning will be further encouraged through group exercises.

Formative assessments including multiple choice questions (MCQs) or other relevant tests will be incorporated into modules. Summative assessment will be provided through assessments, exercises and written assignments designed to enable students to demonstrate the learning outcomes.

Eligible programmes include taught full-time and part-time taught programmes leading to a master's. Not included are our distance learning programmes and taught programmes leading to a postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma, as well as research master's such as the MPhil and MRes.‘Home’ and ‘EU’ students only (as classified for fee paying purposes, tuition fee status is determined after submitting an application to study) who are accepted on to an eligible postgraduate taught programme leading to a master's degree, and with a firm focus on academic excellence.For applicants from countries outside the European Union, we also offer a range of highly prestigious international scholarships.

We have two deadlines after which scholarship decisions will be made:6 April and 27 July 2016.The Masters Excellence Scholarship application form can be accessed once you have submitted an application to study to an eligible postgraduate taught programme leading to a master’s degree. Entry Requirements

Applicants must hold the clinical professional qualification recognised as the required entry qualification for their clinical profession (i.e. MB.ChB. / BN or equivalent). Applicants holding differing qualifications but working in relevant areas of a health service will be considered provided they have a suitable initial qualification equivalent to an upper second class UK Bachelor’s Degree.Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent)
