Cancer Biology and Therapeutics


Course Description

Although cancer represents a significant global health issue in today’s society, advancements in our understanding of the cellular and molecular processes underlying cancer have led to significant improvements in the way we treat this disease.

Encompassing both basic and translational aspects, this MSc is designed to meet the high demand for researchers with cancer expertise by providing graduates with an advanced knowledge of the cellular and molecular processes underlying cancer development and progression together with the molecular basis for the development and subsequent use of anti-cancer agents clinically.

Students will also gain the skills required to undertake laboratory based multidisciplinary cancer research ensuring they have the specialist knowledge and skills to pursued a cancer-focussed career. The course starts in September and is studied full time over one year
